#31 Baby I don’t care – Transvision Vamp

Probably the most well known of the (not that many) hits of Wendy James & Co. – a sort of post-punk / poppy / let’s try and make some money on the back of Debby Harry sort of (definitely lightweight) band, that briefly held the attention of the TOTP watching sector of the UK public.

“Baby I don’t Care” was written by Nick Christian Sayer (who co-founded the band with Ms James) and was the 1st single from the 2nd  – album (Velveteen). It was later covered by someone called Jennifer Ellinson but I’ve no idea who she was (or still is).
